Abstract

Abstract: The study is conducted to find out the understanding of the supporting staffs in Universitas Islam Malang on Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy. The MBKM policy is related to giving the students flexibility in learning to enable them acquire more expertise in different departments or universities. As a part of the university stakeholders, the supporting staffs need to have complete understanding on the policy to support the implementation of the policy in Universitas Islam Malang. The study is a case study that employed mixed method approach by using surveys and interviews as the instruments. Form the collected data, it can be concluded that the supporting staffs in Universitas Islam Malang have known the policy, but have not completely understood all of the substances yet. Some of the substances that have not been understood are related to the semesters allowed for the students to learn outside their own departments and the number of credits given to the students as a form of recognition on the competences they earned from joining the MBKM activities. Therefore, more continuous socializations about the policy are still need to be carried out by the university and/or the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of Indonesia. Keywords: supporting staffs; understanding; flexible learning; Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka

Abstract

Abstract: Student learning problems pose a particular challenge to teachers, as unlike most conditions in the mainstream, the diagnostic process required to some extent depends on teacher interpretation and the teacher-student relationship. The purpose of this study is to diagnose student learning problems in the context of classroom management for the effectiveness of teacher teaching. A qualitative methodology in the form of a grounded theory approach is applied because the purpose of this research is to produce contemporary theories to better understand student learning problems. The participants and the researchers conducted interviews and focus group discussions. The size of the informants of this study is based on theoretical saturation. Transcriptions of interviews, observations, and focus group discussions were subjected to coding (open coding, axial coding, and selective coding) to unlock data-based concepts. We then integrated these concepts into classroom management theory. The results found that student learning problems were categorized into four categories: attitudes, relationships with students and parents, material content, and 21st century skills. This new understanding provides scholars and practitioners with insight into studying student learning problems. Keywords: student learning problems, classroom management, teaching effectiveness, qualitative studies, grounded theory Abstrak: Masalah belajar siswa menimbulkan tantangan khusus bagi guru, karena tidak seperti kebanyakan kondisi pada arus utama, proses diagnostik diperlukan sampai batas tertentu bergantung pada interpretasi guru dan relasi guru-siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendiagnosis masalah belajar siswa dalam konteks menajemen kelas untuk keefektifan pengajaran guru. Metodologi kualitatif berupa pendekatan grounded theory diterapkan karena tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan teori kontemporer untuk lebih memahami masalah belajar siswa. Para partisipan bersama peneliti menyelenggarakan wawancara dan focus group discussions. Ukuran informan studi ini berdasarkan kejenuhan teoritis. Transkripsi wawancara, observasi, dan focus group discussions menjadi sasaran pengkodean (open coding, axial coding, dan selective coding) untuk membuka konsep yang didasarkan pada data. Konsep tersebut kemudian kami diintegrasikan ke dalam teori manajemen kelas. Hasilnya menemukan bahwa masalah belajar siswa dikategorikan dalam empat kategori: sikap, relasi dengan siswa dan orang tua, konten materi, dan keterampilan abad 21. Pemahaman baru ini memberikan wawasan kepada para sarjana dan praktisi dalam mengkaji permasalahan belajar siswa. Kata kunci: masalah belajar siswa, manajemen kelas, keefektifan pengajaran, studi kualitatif, grounded theory

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic boarding school strategic management at the IT boarding school in Yogyakarta in the industrial revolution 4.0 era. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive analysis approach. The selection of informants in this study used a purposive sampling technique (purposed sample). Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Stages of data analysis through data condensation, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this study indicate that Islamic Boarding School Pondok IT Yogyakarta implements strategic management through four stages, namely: First, environmental analysis is carried out in two ways, namely external and internal analysis. External factors, namely the demand for human resources who have the ability in the field of technology is increasing. While the internal factors are a strong leader's commitment; Second, the strategy formulation was made by the Pondok IT Yogyakarta Islamic Boarding School by formulating the vision, mission and objectives as well as curriculum development strategies; Third, strategy implementation is carried out to carry out the plans that have been made in the strategy formulation. At this stage of implementation, there is a religious learning process that is integrated with technology, namely a YouTube based online recitation which is held every morning; and Fourth, the strategic evaluation of the Pondok IT Yogyakarta Islamic boarding school was carried out to determine whether the implementation was in accordance with the planned strategy formulation. Evaluation is carried out in several ways, including unannounced inspections and other evaluations using a group evaluation system. Keywords: Strategic management, Islamic boarding school, industrial revolution 4.0 Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi manajemen strategi pesantren di pondok IT Yogyakarta di era revolusi industry 4.0. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif pendekatan deskriptif analisis. Pemilihan informan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Purposive sampling (sampel bertujuan). Tehnik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Tahapan analisis data melalui kondensasi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Pesantren Pondok IT Yogyakarta mengimplementasikan manajemen strategi melalui tahapan empat tahapan yaitu: Pertama, analisis lingkungan dilakukan melalui dua cara yaitu analisis eksternal dan internal. Faktor eksternal yaitu permintaan akan sumber daya manusia yang memiliki kemampuan dibidang teknologi meningkat. Sedangkan faktor internal adalah komitmen pemimpin yang kuat; Kedua, formulasi strategi dibuat oleh pesantren Pondok IT Yogyakarta dengan merumuskan visi, misi dan tujuan serta strategi pengembangan kurikulum; Ketiga, implementasi strategi dilakukan untuk melaksanakan rencana yang sudah dibuat dalam formulasi strategi. Pada tahapan implementasi ini, terdapat proses pembelajaran kegamaan yang terintegrasi dengan teknologi yaitu ngaji online berbasis youtube yang dilaksanakan setiap pagi; dan Keempat, evaluasi strategi pesantren Pondok IT Yogyakarta dilakukan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan apakah sesuai dengan formulasi strategi yang telah direncanakan. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui beberapa cara, antara lain evaluasi bersifat inspeksi mendadak dan evaluasi lain dengan menggunakan sistem evaluasi kelompok. Kata kunci: Manajemen strategi, pesantren, revolusi industri 4.0

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this survey is to determine the level of knowledge and readiness of lecturers and students in the implementation of the MBKM program and to find out the obstacles in the implementation of the MBKM program. This survey uses a descriptive method and the data is processed using descriptive statistics. The survey was conducted on 1307 respondents consisting of 23 lecturers and 1284 students in the UNIKOM Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP). The survey results show that lecturers already have an adequate level of knowledge regarding MBKM program policies while students do not yet have adequate knowledge regarding MBKM program policies. Furthermore, the survey results show that lecturers and students are ready to implement the MBKM program because the MBKM program has an impact on increasing the competence, hardskills and softskills of graduates that are relevant to the needs of future users, although the majority of students do not feel confident that they can join the program, but students at FISIP UNIKOM have ready to join the MBKM program. Financial factors, regulations, limited information and human resource capabilities, curriculum adjustments, value conversion and academic information systems, assessments with partners and support from higher education leaders are the biggest inhibiting factors in the implementation of the MBKM program.Keywords: competence, readiness of lecturers and students, MBKM program Abstrak: Tujuan dari survey ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan serta kesiapan dosen dan mahasiswa dalam pelaksanaan program MBKM serta mengetahui hambatan dalam pelaksanaan program MBKM. Survey ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan data diolah dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Survey dilakukan pada 1307 responden yang terdiri dari 23 orang dosen dan 1284 mahasiswa di lingkungan Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik (FISIP) UNIKOM. Hasil survey memperlihatkan dosen telah memiliki tingkat pengetahuan yang memadai terkait kebijakan program MBKM sedangkan mahasiswa belum memiliki pengetahuan yang memadai terkait kebijakan program MBKM. Selanjutnya hasil survey menunjukan dosen dan mahasiswa telah siap melaksanakan program MBKM karena program MBKM berdampak terhadap peningkatan kompetensi, hardskills dan softskills lulusan yang relevan dengan kebutuhan pengguna dimasa yang akan datang, walaupun mayoritas mahasiswa belum merasa yakin dapat mengikuti program tersebut namun mahasiswa di FISIP UNIKOM telah siap untuk mengikuti program MBKM. Faktor finansial; regulasi, keterbatasan informasi dan kapabilitas sumber daya manusia; penyesuaian kurikulum, konversi nilai dan sistem informasi akademik; Penjajagan dengan Mitra serta dukungan pimpinan Perguruan Tinggi merupakan faktor-faktor penghambat terbesar dalam pelaksanaan program MBKM.Kata kunci: kompetensi, kesiapan dosen dan mahasiswa, progam MBKM

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine: 1) the relationship between the principal's academic supervision and the performance of teachers in SD Negeri Kabila Subdistrict, Bone Bolango Regency, 2) the relationship between school culture and teacher performance in SD Negeri Kabila Subdistrict, Bone Bolango Regency, 3) the relationship between the principal's academic supervision and school culture together with the performance of teachers in SD Negeri Kabila District, Bone Bolango Regency. The method used is quantitative with correlational techniques. The population in this study amounted to 145 teachers. The sampling technique used was random sampling technique. The sample is 59 respondents. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques 1) test the quality of the instrument using the Pearson validity test , Cronbach alpa reliability ; 2) descriptive analysis; 3) normality and linearity test; 4) regression equation analysis; 5) hypothesis testing with partial and simultaneous tests. The results showed: 1) there was a positive and significant relationship between the principal's academic supervision and the performance of teachers in SD Negeri Kabila District, Bone Bolango Regency; 2) there is a positive and significant relationship between school culture and teacher performance in SD Negeri Kabila District, Bone Bolango Regency; 3) there is a jointly positive and significant relationship between the principal's academic supervision and school culture with teacher performance at SD Negeri Kabila District, Bone Bolango Regency. Keywords:Principal Academic Supervision, School Culture, Teacher Performance

Abstract

Abstract: This study aim to investigate the effect of principal leadership and teacher readiness to change on teacher performance. This study used a quantitative method and employed an online survey using a questionnaire and involved a sample of 105 high school teachers in West Java province.  We employed correlation and multiple regression techniques using SPSS for windows program with the classical assumption and hypothesis testing. The result of the study showed 1) there is the positive influence between principal leadership on the teacher performance; 2) there is prositive influence between readiness of change on teacher performance; 3) there is significant influence jointly between principal leadership and readiness of change on teacher performance.Keywords: Principal Leadership, Teacher Readiness for Change, Teacher Performance Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan kesiapan guru untuk berubah terhadap kinerja guru. Studi ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan menggunakan metode survei online dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan melibatkan sampel sebanyak 105 guru Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) di provinsi Jawa Barat. Analisis data menggunakan  korelasi  dan regresi berganda  dengan bantuan program SPSS, melalui tahapan uji asumsi klasik dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) terdapat pengaruh positif antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru; 2) terdapat pengaruh positif antara kesiapan berubah terhadap kinerja guru; 3) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan secara bersama-sama antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan kesiapan perubahan terhadap kinerja guru. Kata kunci: Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah, Kesiapan Guru untuk Berubah, Kinerja Guru

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted to determine the level of work commitment of employees in carrying out their duties. This research is descriptive research. The population is 108 employees at the Padang City Education Office. The size of the sample is 67 people taken by using proportional random sampling technique. Data was collected using a questionnaire formulated in the form of a Likert scale, the data was processed with averages and percentages. The results showed that the work commitment of the Padang City Education Office employees was in the moderate category with a percentage of 74.71%. Details of employee work commitment based on indicators, are: 1) responsibility in the sufficient category (79.07%), 2) loyalty in the sufficient category (69.33%), 3) involvement (participation in activities) in the sufficient category (67.87%), 4) the awareness to work is in the sufficient category (78.00%) too, and 5) the feeling of identification is in the sufficient category (79.27%).Keywords: Work Commitment, Implementation of Tasks Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat komitmen kerja pegawai dalam melaksanakan tugasnya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Populasinya adalah 108 pegawai pada Dinas Pendidikan Kota Padang. Besar sampel adalah 67 orang yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang dirumuskan dalam bentuk skala likert, data diolah dengan rata-rata dan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komitmen kerja pegawai Dinas Pendidikan Kota Padang berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase 74,71%. Rincian komitmen kerja pegawai berdasarkan indikator, yaitu: 1) tanggung jawab dalam kategori cukup (79,07%), 2) loyalitas dalam kategori cukup (69,33%), 3) keterlibatan (partisipasi dalam kegiatan) dalam kategori cukup (67,87% ), 4) kesadaran untuk bekerja berada pada kategori cukup (78,00%) juga, dan 5) perasaan identifikasi berada pada kategori cukup (79,27%).Kata kunci: Komitmen Kerja, Pelaksanaan Tugas

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe: (1) the effect of teacher digital competence on teacher readiness for change; (2) the effect of teacher readiness for change on teaching performance; (3) the effect of teacher digital competence on teaching performance; (4) the effect of teacher digital competence on teaching performance through teacher readiness for change. This study used a quantitative approach with survey method using simple random sampling. The research sample was 262 of 757 state vocational school teachers in Klaten Regency with an error rate of 5%. This research used questionnaire (rating scale) as instrument. The instrument validity were content validity with expert judgment and construct validity calculated with Confirmatory Factor Analysis. Reliability was calculated using the Cronbach Alpha technique. Technique for analysing data was the Structural Equation Model (SEM) and was carried out by using PLS for Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) 3.0 program. The results of the study are explained as follows. (1) There is positive and significant effect of teacher digital competence on teacher readiness for change by 46,8%. (2) There is a positive and significant effect of teacher readiness for change on teaching performance by 34,2%. (3) There is a positive and significant direct effect of teacher digital competence on teaching performance by 30,4%. (4) There is a positive and significant indirect effect of teacher digital competence on teaching performance mediated by teacher readiness for change by 16%. The novelty of this research was indirect effect of teacher digital competence on teaching performance through teacher readiness for change.Keywords: teacher digital competence; teacher readiness for change; teaching performance; structural equation model (SEM) Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hal-hal sebagai berikut. (1) Pengaruh kompetensi digital guru terhadap teacher readiness for change. (2) Pengaruh teacher readiness for change terhadap kinerja mengajar guru. (3) Pengaruh kompetensi digital guru terhadap kinerja mengajar guru. (4) Pengaruh kompetensi digital guru terhadap kinerja mengajar guru yang dimediasi oleh teacher readiness for change. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Teknik sampling pada penelitian ini menggunakan simple random sampling. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 262 dari 757 guru SMK Negeri di Kabupaten Klaten dengan taraf kesalahan 5%. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket (rating scale) dengan interval dari 1 sampai 5. Validitas instrumen meliputi validitas isi dengan expert judgement dan validitas butir yang dihitung dengan Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Reliabilitas dihitung dengan teknik Alpha Cronbach. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Structural Equation Model (SEM) dan dilakukan dengan bantuan program PLS for Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan kompetensi digital guru terhadap teacher readiness for change sebesar 46,8%. (2) Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan teacher readiness for change terhadap kinerja mengajar guru sebesar 34,2%. (3) Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan secara langsung kompetensi digital guru terhadap kinerja mengajar guru sebesar 30,4%. (4) Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan secara tidak langsung kompetensi digital guru terhadap kinerja mengajar guru yang dimediasi oleh teacher readiness for change sebesar 16%. Kebaruan pada penelitian ini adalah ditemukan pengaruh tidak langsung kompetensi digital guru terhadap kinerja mengajar guru melalui teacher readiness for change.Kata Kunci: kompetensi digital guru; teacher readiness for change; kinerja mengajar guru; structural equation model (SEM)

Abstract

Abstract: Mass media has significant roles in society and acts as a communicator as well as a pioneer of changes in the public environment that can influence society through messages in the form of information, and entertainment. According to Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (Asosiasi Penyelenggara Jasa Internet Indonesia/APJII), people in the age range of 19-34 years old are the main users of the internet with a percentage of 49,52%, making the highest number of internet users are in their productive age. Therefore, along with the printed version, Majalah Komunikasi provides the website-based online flipbook. This research aims to make it easier for UM academic community to provide effective and practical services in obtaining information and the latest campus news. Through the implementation of this online flipbook, UM academic community will not miss the latest valid and in-depth campus information because it can be accessed remotely easily and practically as if opening a printed magazine but in a digital way. This study conducted the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) method. Other than facilitating academics in receiving the campus's latest information, this online flipbook is more economical because it is paperless and can save up more expenses. Besides, the implementation of the online flipbook can fulfill the requisitory data of Student Affair Ranking System (Sistem Pemeringkatan Kemahasiswaan/Simkatmawa) as a winner's additional contribution because through this online flipbook, Majalah Komunikasi won 1st place at a national level event, namely the Indonesia Print Media Awards (Isprima) organized by the Central Press Company Union (Serikat Perusahaan Pers/SPS). This will definitely impact Simkatmawa so that UM's national rank can be escalated. Keywords: publication media, online flipbook, magazine, website Abstrak: Media Massa mempunyai posisi sangat penting dalam kehidupan masyarakat dan berperan sebagai komunikator sekaligus menjadi pelopor perubahan dalam lingkungan publik yang dapat mempengaruhi masyarakat melalui pesan berupa informasi, hiburan. Berdasarkan survei yang dilakukan Asosiasi Penyelenggara Jasa Internet Indonesia (APJII), pengguna internet dilihat dari usia, rentang usia 19-34 tahun menjadi pengguna utama dengan persentase 49,52%, dengan demikian, pengguna internet tertinggi adalah usia produktif. Oleh karena itu, disamping dalam bentuk cetak, majalah Komunikasi hadir dalam bentuk online dan menyediakan flipbook online berbasis website. Tujuan penelitian ini  adalah untuk mempermudah sivitas akademika UM dalam memberikan pelayanan yang efektif dan prakstis dalam mendapatkan informasi serta pernak-pernik terbaru kampus. Melalui penerapan flipbook online berbasis website, sivitas akademika UM tidak akan ketinggalan info terbaru kampus yang valid dan mendalam karna bisa diakses dari jarak jauh secara mudah dan praktis, seolah membuka majalah cetak pada umumnya, tapi dikemas digital. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode ADDIE, yaitu Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Disamping mempermudah sivitas akademika dalam mendapatkan informasi terkini kampus, flipbook online berbasis website ini juga menghemat pengeluaran keuangan UM, karena paperless, biaya yang seharusnya keluar ratusan juta, dapat dihemat menjadi beberapa juta rupiah saja; memenuhi kebutuhan Sistem Pemeringkatan Kemahasiswaan (Simkatmawa) sesbagai penambahan sumbangsih pemenang event kompetisi, karna lewat flipbook online ini majalah Komunikasi berhasil meraih juara 1 pada event tingkat nasional yaitu Indonesia Print Media Awards (Isprima) yang diselenggarakan oleh Serikat Perusahaan Pers (SPS) Pusat. Hal ini tentunya  pada Simkatmawa agar meningkatkan peringkat Kemahasiswaan UM di tingkat nasional. Kata kunci: media publikasi, flipbook online, majalah, website

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to optimize information services for residents of the Department of Education Management and the general public related to improving the quality of information services in a practical and integrated manner. The method in this study uses the Waterfall Model, which is 5 stages (Analysis, Design, Implementation, Testing, Maintenance). The results of the research obtained products that have been in accordance with the design process following the Waterfall Model, in the form of the 'MP Mobile Apps' application starting from features to the process of filling in information on the application by adjusting the conditions and development of programs or activities organized by the Department of Education Management, so that the optimization of the information system through the E-PR concept is realized and has been used by residents of the Department of Education Management. Keywords: Development, Electronic Public Relations, Optimization, Management Information System Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu optimalisasi layanan informasi bagi warga Jurusan Manajemen Pendidikan dan masyarakat umum terkait meningkatkan kualitas layanan informasi secara praktis dan terintegrasi. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Waterfall Model, yaitu ada 5 tahapan (Analysis, Design, Implementation, Testing, Maintenance). Hasil penelitian diperoleh produk yang telah sesuai proses perancangan mengikuti Waterfall Model, berupa aplikasi ‘MP Mobile Apps’ mulai dari fitur hingga proses pengisian informasi pada aplikasi dengan menyesuaikan kondisi dan perkembangan program atau kegiatan yang diselenggarakan Jurusan Manajemen Pendidikan, sehingga optimalisasi sistem informasi melalui konsep E-PR terwujud dan telah digunakan  oleh warga Jurusan Manajemen Pendidikan. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan, Electronic Public Relation, Optimalisasi, Sistem Informasi Manajemen
